Recording & everyday use
Pause, save, look back: Cyclr 2.8.5 improves everyday rides
Cyclr 2.8.5 improves the small steps that make up a bike ride: stopping, setting off again, saving and looking back afterwards. The update makes these workflows clearer and improves Apple Health, sensor settings and the ride list.
Know what happens next during Auto Pause
When Auto Pause pauses your recording, the message explaining that recording will resume automatically when you move stays visible. This helps you understand the state of your ride during a short stop.
After stopping the ride, you can choose whether to save or discard it. The display makes it easier to distinguish an automatic pause from deliberately finishing a ride.
Saving, Apple Health and ride details
Version 2.8.5 improves the reliability of saving to Apple Health and checking whether a ride is present there. If you use your cycling workouts in Apple Health, these changes help with the handover from a Cyclr recording to its Health workout.
Saved ride details open with stable statistics instead of briefly showing provisional values. Deleting a large saved ride no longer blocks the ride list either. Both changes are useful as your collection grows to include longer rides.
Clearer sensors, goals and iCloud status
Sensor settings make it clearer whether Cyclr is scanning for devices, connected or reporting an error. That helps you understand what is happening when a sensor is not providing a reading.
The goal widget in Cyclr Pro now supports weekly and monthly progress. With iCloud Sync enabled (Cyclr Pro), uploads, downloads and sync status are easier to identify in iCloud settings. If iCloud temporarily throttles synchronization, Cyclr shows the automatic waiting period.
The update also improves GPX imports and route previews in Cyclr Pro, as well as elevation values, weather, the Now Playing display and accessibility.
